National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC)
Founded in 1889, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is the national association representing the State Public Service Commissioners who regulate essential utility services, including energy, telecommunications, and water. NARUC members are responsible for assuring reliable utility service at fair, just, and reasonable rates.
NARUC is committed to improving the quality and effectiveness of energy regulation in the United States and around the world. Working in partnership with USAID and the State Department, NARUC’s International Programs support improvements in the quality and effectiveness of regulation in foreign countries through dialogue and collaboration, ultimately enabling economic and societal growth.
